CHEF (Oriental Cuisine)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as a Chef specializing in Oriental Cuisine.
- Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of Oriental cuisines, including Japanese, Thai, Korean, Taiwanese, Cambodian, Malaysian, and other Asian culinary traditions.
- Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
- Experience in menu planning, food costing, inventory control, and stock management.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee the production of high-quality Oriental dishes in accordance with established standards.
- Create innovative menus and develop new dishes inspired by various Asian cuisines.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Monitor food inventory, equipment usage, stock levels, and ordering requirements.
- Implement and maintain food costing controls and inventory management procedures.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices are followed to minimize waste.
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high performance and professionalism.
- Enforce strict food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
- Maintain courteous, professional, and respectful relationships with staff and management.
- Coordinate kitchen operations to ensure efficient service and timely food preparation.
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with all operational procedures.
