Panel Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Panel Supervisor, Panel Beater, Body Repair Supervisor, or a similar automotive workshop leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive collision repair, panel beating, body alignment, welding, and vehicle restoration.
• Experience supervising workshop personnel and coordinating repair operations.
• Ability to interpret repair estimates, technical manuals, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Proficient in preparing reports and monitoring workshop performance.
• Physically fit and able to work in a busy automotive workshop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of panel beaters, body repair technicians, painters, and workshop support staff.
• Allocate repair jobs based on technician skills, workload, and production schedules.
• Inspect damaged vehicles and determine appropriate repair methods and work requirements.
• Monitor vehicle body repairs, panel replacement, dent removal, chassis alignment, and structural repairs to ensure quality workmanship.
• Ensure repairs are completed according to manufacturer specifications, company standards, and customer requirements.
• Conduct final quality inspections before releasing completed vehicles.
• Monitor workshop productivity and ensure repair jobs are completed within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with service advisors, insurance assessors, and customers regarding repair progress and job status.
• Maintain inventory of repair materials, replacement parts, tools, and workshop equipment.
• Ensure workshop equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
• Enforce workplace safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Train, mentor, and evaluate workshop personnel to improve technical skills and productivity.
• Prepare daily production reports, repair documentation, and workshop performance records.
• Resolve technical issues, customer concerns, and workflow challenges efficiently.
• Perform other supervisory and workshop management duties assigned by management.
