Linda & Lydia Employment Agency is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef / Cook to join a food service operation in Brunei. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen standards, supervising kitchen activities when required, and ensuring food is prepared safely and efficiently. Candidates with experience in Korean cuisine or fried-chicken restaurants are highly preferred.

Qualifications:
- Male applicants.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor.
- Experience in Korean cuisine or a fried-chicken restaurant is highly preferred.
- Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Good understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen hygiene.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, hardworking, and disciplined.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, menus, and established quality standards.
- Specialize in or assist with the preparation of Korean cuisine and fried-chicken dishes.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, measuring, marinating, seasoning, and portioning.
- Ensure food is cooked properly and presented according to company standards.
- Monitor food quality, taste, freshness, and portion sizes.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and food preparation area.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and ingredients and report shortages to the supervisor or management.
- Assist with inventory control and proper storage of food products.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
- Minimize food waste and ensure proper use of ingredients.
- Follow food safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure efficient service.
- Assist in supervising and guiding kitchen staff when required.
- Maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation of cooking utensils, equipment, and work areas.
- Perform other kitchen and food preparation duties as assigned.
