AutoCAD Operator
Qualifications:
- Diploma, Vocational Certificate, or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering,
- Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience as an AutoCAD Operator in construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing engineering and construction drawings.
- Knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, or other CAD software is an advantage.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, construction methods, and drafting standards.
- Good communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD based on design specifications and project requirements.
- Produce shop drawings, construction drawings, as-built drawings, and technical layouts for civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical works as required.
- Revise and update drawings according to engineer, consultant, or client comments.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and site personnel to ensure drawings accurately reflect project requirements.
- Review engineering drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, and compliance with project specifications.
- Organize, maintain, and archive electronic drawing files and revision records.
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs, layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and construction details.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, engineering codes, and project documentation requirements.
- Support technical office activities by preparing presentation drawings, technical reports, and drawing registers.
- Coordinate with document control to ensure timely distribution of approved drawings.
- Maintain confidentiality of engineering designs and project information.
- Perform other drafting and technical support duties assigned by management.
