Lynx Contracting Company is seeking a highly experienced Technical Engineer-Designer (Structural) to provide structural engineering design support for large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use developments across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design development, engineering calculations, technical documentation, and design coordination while ensuring compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and international engineering standards.

This role requires extensive expertise in reinforced concrete and steel structure design, foundation engineering, advanced structural analysis, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination.

TECHNICAL ENGINEER-DESIGNER (STRUCTURAL)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10–15 years of experience as a Structural Design Engineer or Structural Designer in construction or engineering consultancy.
• Proven experience in large-scale retail, commercial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use development projects.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete design, structural steel design, foundation engineering, and structural analysis.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE), or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in STAAD.Pro is mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination, Navisworks, and clash detection processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC), ACI, AISC, ASCE, British Standards (BS), and Eurocode.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects, work under pressure, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions within project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural design and analysis for foundations, slabs, beams, columns, shear walls, retaining walls, basements, and structural framing systems.
• Prepare structural calculations, engineering reports, technical documentation, and detailed design drawings for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Conduct advanced structural analysis, including finite element modeling, seismic analysis, wind load analysis, and dynamic analysis using structural engineering software.
• Review and verify structural design drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve design issues and ensure seamless project execution.
• Perform value engineering studies, structural assessments, and design optimization to improve safety, constructability, and cost efficiency.
• Review geotechnical reports and develop appropriate foundation design solutions.
• Design temporary works such as formwork, scaffolding, shoring systems, and construction support structures.
• Ensure all structural designs comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), ACI, AISC, Eurocode, British Standards (BS), ASCE, and other applicable engineering standards.
• Provide technical support and engineering guidance during construction, including reviewing method statements, construction sequences, and erection procedures.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and project coordination with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare structural feasibility studies, technical presentations, and design reports for project management.
