The House of Stella is seeking a responsible, patient, and compassionate Animal Caregiver to provide daily care and supervision for cats and other household pets in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining animal hygiene, feeding routines, comfort, safety, and general well-being while monitoring behavior and reporting any health concerns.
ANIMAL CAREGIVER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of animal or cat care experience.
- Experience in a pet hotel, cat boarding facility, veterinary clinic, or similar animal-care environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic pet health, hygiene, nutrition, and animal behavior.
- Comfortable handling cats and other domestic animals safely and responsibly.
- Patient, attentive, reliable, compassionate, and genuinely animal-loving.
- Able to follow feeding, hygiene, medication, and care instructions carefully.
- Good observation skills and ability to identify changes in an animal’s condition or behavior.
- Physically capable of performing routine cleaning, feeding, lifting, and animal-care duties.
- Responsible and trustworthy when caring for animals and handling pet-care supplies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently while following the instructions of the employer or supervisor.
- Willing to maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized animal-care environment.
- Previous employer references are required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care, supervision, and companionship to cats and other assigned animals.
- Feed animals according to established schedules, dietary requirements, and instructions.
- Provide fresh drinking water and ensure feeding areas are clean and sanitary.
- Clean and maintain cages, kennels, litter boxes, bedding, and animal living areas.
- Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness of pets and their surroundings.
- Monitor animals for changes in behavior, appetite, activity, appearance, or general condition.
- Recognize signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behavior and promptly report concerns.
- Administer basic care and medications when specifically instructed and appropriately trained.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and calmly during routine care.
- Provide exercise, playtime, stimulation, and appropriate interaction according to each animal’s needs.
- Ensure animals are kept in a safe, secure, comfortable, and clean environment.
- Follow individual feeding, medication, grooming, and care instructions accurately.
- Assist with basic grooming activities such as brushing, cleaning, and nail care when required.
- Maintain accurate records of feeding, cleaning, medication, and other daily animal-care activities.
- Monitor the condition of supplies such as food, litter, cleaning materials, and basic pet-care equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all animal-care areas.
- Handle animals patiently and appropriately, particularly those that are nervous, stressed, or unfamiliar with their surroundings.
- Assist with receiving, transferring, or settling animals into designated care areas when required.
- Follow proper hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures to protect both animals and caregivers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe animal-care environment at all times.
