Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking a responsible and organized Tool Keeper to manage the issuance, return, storage, and inventory control of tools and equipment for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will ensure that all tools are properly recorded, maintained, available for use, and managed in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
TOOL KEEPER
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred.
- Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Tool Keeper, Tool Room Custodian, Equipment Controller, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of tool management, inventory control, and equipment handling procedures.
- Experience maintaining records of tools, equipment, and material movements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with inventory management systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the issuance, return, and inventory of tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of tools, equipment movements, and user assignments.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of required tools for project activities.
- Inspect returned tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Identify damaged, missing, or defective tools and report issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure proper storage, organization, and preservation of tools and equipment.
- Maintain tool inventory records using manual or computerized tracking systems.
- Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and project teams regarding tool requirements.
- Conduct regular tool inspections and inventory checks.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and equipment control policies.
