TECHNICAL AND OPERATIONS MANAGER (Equipment Division)

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading or managing operations involving OEM material handling and heavy equipment brands, such as Toyota Material Handling, Jungheinrich, Linde, Hyster, Yale, Caterpillar, Komatsu, BYD, Doosan, or similar.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in workshop and field service management.
• Experience managing equipment rental operations, including fleet deployment, utilization, inspection, and return processes.
• Experience handling preventive maintenance and full maintenance contracts.
• Strong understanding of equipment servicing, maintenance planning, troubleshooting, repair, and technical support.
• Proven experience in fleet management, including maintenance scheduling, equipment availability, utilization, and operating costs.
• Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop technicians and service teams.
• Experience in budgeting, financial planning, cost control, and operational performance management.
• Strong customer relationship management skills and the ability to professionally resolve technical and service concerns.
• Demonstrated experience in business development within the material handling industry.
• Ability to identify market opportunities and develop long-term customer and business relationships.
• Strong understanding of workshop processes, field service requirements, equipment maintenance, and service contract management.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple technical, operational, rental, and customer-service priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with customers, technicians, suppliers, management, and business partners.
• Results-oriented leadership style with a strong focus on equipment reliability, operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall technical and operational activities of the Equipment Division.
• Manage workshop and field service operations for material handling and related equipment.
• Oversee the servicing, repair, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery.
• Manage equipment from leading OEM brands such as Toyota Material Handling, Jungheinrich, Linde, Hyster, Yale, Caterpillar, Komatsu, BYD, Doosan, or similar brands.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and availability.
• Manage preventive and full maintenance contracts for customers and ensure service commitments are met.
• Supervise equipment rental operations, including equipment availability, deployment, utilization, inspection, and return.
• Manage the equipment fleet and monitor utilization, maintenance schedules, operating condition, and replacement requirements.
• Lead and supervise technicians, mechanics, service personnel, and other technical staff.
• Assign service jobs, monitor technician productivity, and ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair work.
• Establish workshop and field service procedures to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Review technical service reports, inspection findings, repair requirements, and maintenance records.
• Ensure equipment is properly inspected, tested, and maintained before deployment or return to customers.
• Monitor spare parts, tools, workshop equipment, and technical resources required for service operations.
• Control maintenance and operational costs while maintaining required service quality and equipment reliability.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, operational expenses, and cost-control measures.
• Monitor revenue, service costs, rental performance, utilization, and profitability of the Equipment Division.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing technical concerns, service issues, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with customers regarding preventive maintenance schedules, equipment breakdowns, service contracts, rentals, and technical support.
• Identify new business opportunities within the material handling and equipment industry.
• Develop business relationships with existing and potential customers, contractors, suppliers, and equipment partners.
• Support sales and business development activities by providing technical recommendations and equipment solutions.
• Evaluate customer equipment requirements and recommend suitable equipment, rental solutions, maintenance programs, or service packages.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, equipment technologies, and opportunities for business expansion.
• Ensure all workshop, field service, rental, and maintenance activities comply with company policies and applicable safety requirements.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure technicians properly use tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Prepare regular operational, technical, fleet, financial, and performance reports for management.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, fleet utilization, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
