CH CARPENTER
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred.
- Minimum 45 years old.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in construction, civil projects, carpentry, or related maintenance work.
- Proven practical experience performing carpentry work in construction or civil project environments.
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, installing, and repairing carpentry materials.
- Knowledge of common carpentry hand tools and power tools.
- Able to interpret basic drawings, sketches, measurements, and work instructions.
- Good understanding of carpentry methods, materials, fittings, and finishing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work.
- Able to lift, carry, and handle carpentry materials and equipment safely.
- Able to work at construction sites and adapt to different working conditions.
- Knowledge of workplace and construction site safety practices.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and responsible.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision when required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry works for construction, civil, building, and maintenance projects.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other carpentry materials according to specifications.
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures and fixtures.
- Install and repair doors, door frames, window frames, partitions, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden components.
- Prepare timber and other materials for construction and carpentry applications.
- Read and follow basic drawings, sketches, measurements, and work instructions.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, routers, and other carpentry equipment.
- Ensure accurate measurements, proper alignment, level, dimensions, and finishing of completed work.
- Perform repair and replacement of damaged or defective wooden components.
- Carry out finishing, trimming, sanding, and other activities required to complete carpentry work.
- Install and adjust hinges, handles, locks, brackets, and other related hardware.
- Assist with formwork, temporary structures, partitions, and other carpentry-related construction activities when required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and required quality standards.
- Identify damaged materials, structural issues, or workmanship problems and report them to the supervisor.
- Coordinate with other construction trades and project personnel to complete assigned work efficiently.
- Follow work schedules and complete carpentry assignments within required timelines.
- Maintain proper care and condition of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
- Follow construction site safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Handle, transport, and store carpentry materials safely to prevent damage and waste.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Work effectively with other workers while also being capable of performing assigned tasks independently.
- Perform other carpentry and construction-related duties assigned by the supervisor or project management.
