MASON

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Minimum 45 years old.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in construction, civil projects, masonry, or related maintenance work.
• Proven experience as a Mason in construction or civil project environments.
• Skilled in bricklaying, block laying, mortar preparation, wall construction, and masonry finishing.
• Knowledge of proper cement, sand, mortar, concrete, bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials.
• Able to measure, mark, align, level, cut, and install masonry materials accurately.
• Able to read and follow basic construction drawings, plans, layouts, and work instructions.
• Familiar with common masonry hand tools and power tools.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work.
• Able to lift, carry, and handle construction materials safely.
• Able to work outdoors and under varying construction site conditions.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices and proper PPE use.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and responsible.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision

Responsibilities:

• Perform masonry works for construction and civil projects.
• Construct walls, partitions, foundations, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and related materials.
• Measure and mark work areas according to drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
• Read and follow basic construction drawings, plans, layouts, and measurements.
• Prepare work areas before masonry activities, including cleaning and leveling surfaces.
• Mix cement, sand, water, mortar, concrete, and other construction materials according to required proportions.
• Lay bricks, blocks, stones, and other masonry units accurately and securely.
• Maintain proper line, level, alignment, spacing, and dimensions during construction.
• Cut and shape bricks, blocks, and other materials using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Construct corners, openings, walls, columns, partitions, and other masonry features.
• Apply mortar and other bonding materials evenly to ensure strong and stable construction.
• Perform plastering, rendering, pointing, and other finishing works when required.
• Repair cracks, damaged masonry, deteriorated joints, and other defects.
• Assist with demolition and removal of damaged masonry structures when necessary.
• Check completed masonry work for alignment, level, strength, appearance, and overall quality.
• Coordinate with carpenters, steel workers, electricians, plumbers, and other construction personnel.
• Follow project schedules and complete assigned masonry work within required timelines.
• Properly use and maintain masonry tools, equipment, and materials.
• Keep the work area clean and organized during and after construction activities.
• Handle and store construction materials safely to minimize damage and waste.
• Follow construction site safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Report unsafe conditions, damaged materials, equipment problems, or construction issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other masonry and general construction duties assigned by the supervisor or project management.
