Arabian C B & I Ltd is seeking qualified and experienced Tank Fitters for an overseas work opportunity in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, aligning, and assembling large industrial storage tanks used in oil and gas, petrochemical, and heavy industrial projects.

TANK FITTER

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tank Fitter or similar fabrication position.
• Relevant experience in tank fitting and fabrication within oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Strong knowledge of tank plate preparation, beveling, fitting, and alignment techniques.
• Experience working with welders, fabricators, foremen, and other construction personnel.
• Ability to accurately check dimensions, bevels, joint gaps, and component alignment.
• Good understanding of industrial tank fabrication and erection procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow project safety procedures.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding industrial work.
• Overseas or large-scale project experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Fit, align, and assemble tank plates, shells, and structural components according to engineering specifications.
• Prepare tank components for welding and fabrication activities.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and WPS.
• Measure and verify dimensions, plate alignment, bevels, and joint gaps.
• Ensure components are positioned and aligned correctly before welding.
• Perform plate preparation, beveling, and alignment activities as required.
• Work closely with welders to ensure proper joint preparation and configuration.
• Coordinate with foremen and other fabrication personnel during tank erection.
• Assist in positioning and securing tank components during assembly and installation.
• Inspect fitted components to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify dimensional, alignment, or fabrication issues and report them to supervisors.
• Support foremen in coordinating manpower and workflow during tank erection activities.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of work areas.
• Follow project safety procedures and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Use fitting tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Ensure fabrication and installation activities comply with applicable quality standards.
• Perform other tank fabrication and erection duties as assigned.
