Hotel Elizabeth is seeking qualified and experienced Kitchen and Maintenance Assistants for an overseas hospitality opportunity in Slovakia. The successful candidate will support kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness and sanitation, assist with food preparation, handle kitchen equipment, and provide support during hotel events and banquets.

Kitchen and Maintenance Assistant

Qualifications:

• Male applicants only.
• 22–40 years old.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant in kitchen assistance, maintenance assistance, or a similar role.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, food preparation, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong sense of responsibility, quality, timing, and performance.
• Physically fit and medically capable of performing manual work, lifting, and prolonged standing.
• Non-smoker.
• Willingness to learn the Slovak language.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and responsibilities.
• Hardworking, reliable, disciplined, and customer-service oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, kitchen utensils, catering equipment, and other food-service items.
• Operate commercial dishwashers and perform hand washing when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in kitchen and utility areas.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen work surfaces, equipment, floors, and other assigned areas.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including cleaning, cutting, and processing vegetables and other raw materials.
• Prepare ingredients and raw materials according to chefs’ instructions.
• Properly store and handle kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Take out waste and separate waste according to the hotel’s internal procedures.
• Assist in preparing and implementing social events, banquets, conferences, and other functions.
• Move tables, chairs, kitchen equipment, service equipment, and conference equipment for events.
• Help prepare kitchen and service areas before and after events.
• Cooperate with chefs, kitchen staff, waiters, and other Food and Beverage personnel.
• Maintain proper hygiene and sanitation standards in all assigned work areas.
• Handle kitchen tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Follow hotel food safety, hygiene, health, and workplace safety procedures.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and participate in required training.
• Provide occasional assistance to other hotel departments as agreed with the supervisor.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
