Hotel Elizabeth is seeking qualified and experienced Waiters for an overseas hospitality opportunity in Slovakia. The successful candidate will assist in serving guests in the hotel restaurant, café, breakfast area, and events while maintaining high standards of customer service, cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
WAITER
Qualifications:
- Male applicants only.
- 22–40 years old.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or restaurant, including kitchen or maintenance assistance experience.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Previous hotel or restaurant service experience is highly preferred.
- Good understanding of food service, hygiene, and restaurant operations.
- Professional, presentable, and guest-service oriented.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong sense of responsibility, quality, timing, and performance.
- Non-smoker.
- Must be in good health and medically fit.
- Willingness to learn the Slovak language.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in serving guests in the hotel restaurant, café, and breakfast area.
- Prepare tables before service by setting tables and replenishing necessary supplies.
- Assist with serving food and beverages according to the instructions of the Head Waiter or supervisor.
- Greet guests and provide basic information and assistance as needed.
- Clean and sanitize tables after guests finish their meals.
- Restock buffet tables during breakfast service and special events.
- Collect used dishes, cutlery, glasses, and other dining equipment and bring them to the designated dishwashing area.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of restaurant and back-of-house areas.
- Assist with preparing and implementing hotel social events and functions.
- Monitor and properly handle inventory such as cutlery, glasses, and china.
- Ensure dining areas are properly prepared and presentable before, during, and after service.
- Follow HACCP, occupational health and safety (OSH), hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Cooperate with colleagues within the Food and Beverage department to ensure smooth service.
- Assist other hotel departments when required and as instructed by the supervisor.
- Provide occasional assistance in the kitchen and kitchen cleaning areas according to supervisor instructions.
- Participate in company training and follow all instructions provided by management.
- Perform other duties related to restaurant and hotel operations as assigned.
