TAILOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a Tailor, preferably in custom window treatments, upholstery, or interior furnishing.
• Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Tailoring, Dressmaking, Textile Technology, or a related field.
• Skilled in taking accurate window or template measurements and cutting fabrics, linings, and other materials to precise dimensions.
• Proficient in operating industrial sewing machines and performing hand-stitching for custom curtains, drapes, valances, blinds, and shades.
• Good knowledge of different textiles, fabric weights, linings, and draping techniques.
• Ability to interpret design specifications and collaborate with clients or interior designers on material, color, and style selections.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate hems, straight stitching, and high-quality workmanship.
• Familiarity with curtain hardware, installation methods, and finishing techniques is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to perform measuring, sewing, lifting, and installation tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Measure windows and prepare accurate dimensions for custom curtains, drapes, blinds, valances, and other window treatments.
• Cut fabrics, linings, and related materials according to specifications and project requirements.
• Operate sewing machines and perform hand-stitching to produce high-quality custom window furnishings.
• Assemble, sew, and finish curtains, drapes, shades, and decorative fabric products with precision and attention to detail.
• Coordinate with clients, interior designers, or supervisors to select suitable materials, colors, patterns, and styles.
• Ensure all finished products meet quality standards, with accurate hems, straight seams, and proper drape.
• Install curtain tracks, rods, hardware, and completed window treatments when required.
• Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary alterations or repairs before installation or delivery.
• Maintain sewing equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and safe operating condition.
• Follow company quality standards, workplace safety procedures, and project deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction.
