STRUCTURAL STEEL FABRICATOR

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, fitting, assembling, and preparing structural steel components.
• Experience operating steel fabrication tools and workshop machinery.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes, material handling, and quality standards.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• Able to work independently and as part of a fabrication team.
• Applicants must be between 25 and 50 years old.
• Physically fit and medically fit to perform heavy fabrication work.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble structural steel components according to engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and technical documents.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, and shape steel sections using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Fit and align structural steel members prior to welding or bolting.
• Operate fabrication machinery such as band saws, drill presses, ironworkers, cutting machines, and grinders.
• Perform tack welding and assist welders during fabrication when required.
• Inspect fabricated components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Repair or modify fabricated steel structures as instructed by supervisors or engineers.
• Handle and move steel materials safely using lifting equipment and overhead cranes where authorized.
• Maintain fabrication tools, machinery, and workstations in good working condition.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other fabrication and workshop duties assigned by management.
