AIS Global Group is seeking an experienced Spring Technician to perform spring manufacturing, repair, adjustment, inspection, and related metalworking activities. The successful candidate will apply knowledge of metal properties, spring types, tension/load calculations, and manufacturing processes to produce and repair springs according to required specifications and quality standards. Good English communication skills are required, with willingness to undertake the IELTS examination.

Spring Technician

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in spring manufacturing, repair, or a related metalworking/mechanical trade is required.
• Good knowledge of metal properties, tension/load calculations, and spring types, including compression, extension, torsion, and leaf springs.
• Practical experience in manufacturing, repairing, adjusting, or inspecting mechanical springs.
• Ability to operate spring manufacturing machinery and related metalworking equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, measurements, and work instructions.
• Strong understanding of spring dimensions, material characteristics, load requirements, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to perform accurate measurements and basic tension/load calculations.
• Good knowledge of spring testing, inspection, adjustment, and quality control procedures.
• Ability to identify manufacturing defects and perform appropriate corrective or repair work.
• Competent in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when manufacturing and inspecting springs.
• Good mechanical and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical or manufacturing team.
• Good English language skills are required.
• Must be willing to take the IELTS examination.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, disciplined, hardworking, and quality-conscious.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, repair, modify, and maintain various types of industrial and mechanical springs.
• Work with different spring types, including compression, extension, torsion, and leaf springs.
• Set up and operate spring manufacturing machinery and related metalworking equipment.
• Select appropriate materials and wire or metal stock according to spring specifications and production requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, measurements, and work instructions.
• Perform accurate measurements of spring dimensions, wire diameter, length, diameter, pitch, and other required specifications.
• Apply knowledge of metal properties when selecting, forming, bending, winding, and processing spring materials.
• Perform tension and load calculations to determine appropriate spring characteristics and performance requirements.
• Adjust machine settings and manufacturing processes to achieve the required spring dimensions and load characteristics.
• Inspect finished springs to ensure they meet dimensional, functional, and quality requirements.
• Test spring performance, tension, compression, load, and other applicable characteristics.
• Identify defective, damaged, incorrectly formed, or out-of-specification springs and carry out appropriate adjustments or repairs.
• Perform repair and reconditioning work on existing springs and related metal components.
• Use measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and specialized spring manufacturing equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, measurement, and repair records as required.
• Conduct routine checks of machinery and equipment and report defects or operational issues.
• Maintain tools, machinery, materials, and work areas in clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurements, proper machine setup, and efficient manufacturing practices.
• Follow established manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, production personnel, and other team members regarding technical and production requirements.
• Complete assigned manufacturing and repair tasks within required production schedules.
• Perform other spring manufacturing, repair, inspection, and metalworking duties as assigned.
