ST Cooperative Society is seeking qualified and hardworking applicants for the position of Spray Painter in Japan. This opportunity is available under a Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) three-year contract and is suitable for applicants with relevant spray painting experience who are willing to undergo Japanese language training before deployment.

SPRAY PAINTER

Qualifications:

• At least High School Graduate.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in spray painting or a related field, with a Certificate of Employment dated 2021 or earlier, as specified by the employer.
• Must be willing to undergo 3–4 months of free Japanese language training before deployment.
• Must be willing to work under a TITP three-year contract.
• Physically and mentally prepared to work and live abroad.
• Medically fit to work and capable of performing physically demanding painting duties.
• Basic knowledge of spray painting techniques, surface preparation, and paint application is required.
• Willing to learn Japanese language, workplace practices, safety procedures, and technical requirements.
• Hardworking, disciplined, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, degreasing, and removing rust, dirt, or existing coatings.
• Prepare and mix paints, primers, thinners, and other coating materials according to required specifications.
• Operate spray painting equipment to apply paint, primer, protective coatings, and finishing materials to assigned surfaces.
• Adjust spray guns, pressure, nozzle settings, and other equipment controls to achieve proper and consistent coating application.
• Apply coatings evenly while maintaining the required thickness, coverage, color, and finish.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as uneven coating, runs, drips, bubbles, scratches, or missed areas.
• Perform touch-up and finishing work to correct painting defects and achieve the required quality.
• Protect surrounding equipment, surfaces, and work areas from overspray, paint spills, and contamination.
• Clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, compressors, brushes, containers, and other painting equipment.
• Follow proper procedures for handling, storage, and disposal of paints, solvents, and other chemical materials.
• Maintain accurate records or follow production instructions related to painting activities and material usage.
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, ventilation standards, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report equipment problems, material shortages, surface defects, and other work-related concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist other production and maintenance workers as required.
• Perform other painting, coating, and production duties assigned by management.
