Yamama Cement Factory is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Mechanic – Crusher Maintenance Unit to support the maintenance and reliability of crushing equipment in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for experienced mechanical professionals with strong knowledge of crushers, conveyors, material-handling equipment, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and industrial machinery repair.

SENIOR MECHANIC – CRUSHER MAINTENANCE UNIT

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Mechanic, Crusher Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar industrial maintenance position.
• Strong experience in crusher maintenance and heavy industrial machinery repair.
• Good knowledge of crushers, conveyors, feeders, screens, bearings, gearboxes, drive systems, and other material-handling equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, repair, alignment, assembly, and preventive maintenance skills.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, maintenance procedures, and technical specifications.
• Experience providing technical guidance or leading mechanics during maintenance and repair activities.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety procedures, equipment handling, and maintenance best practices.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding cement plant environment.
• Responsible, technically capable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with maintenance and production teams.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee mechanical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of crushers and associated material-handling equipment.
• Inspect crushers, conveyors, feeders, screens, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, motors, and other mechanical components for wear, damage, and abnormal conditions.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair, replacement, or adjustment requirements.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules, technical specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Dismantle, repair, align, assemble, and install crusher components and other heavy mechanical equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures to prevent unexpected breakdowns and production downtime.
• Perform maintenance on crusher components such as shafts, bearings, drive systems, liners, belts, pulleys, and related assemblies as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient maintenance activities.
• Guide and provide technical assistance to mechanics and other maintenance personnel during complex repair and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist in planned shutdowns, major overhauls, equipment inspections, and component replacement activities.
• Ensure proper use of mechanical tools, lifting equipment, measuring instruments, and maintenance machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment defects, repairs, spare parts, inspections, and breakdowns.
• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend preventive measures to improve crusher reliability and reduce downtime.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and other industrial safety practices during maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain good housekeeping in the crusher maintenance area.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance and technical duties assigned by management.
