Yamama Cement Factory is seeking experienced and skilled workers for Firebrick Construction to support refractory installation and maintenance activities in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for construction and refractory workers with experience in installing firebricks and heat-resistant materials in cement plants, kilns, furnaces, and other high-temperature industrial facilities.
FIREBRICK CONSTRUCTION
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in firebrick installation, refractory construction, refractory maintenance, or industrial masonry.
- Experience working in cement plants, kilns, furnaces, steel plants, or other high-temperature industrial facilities is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of firebrick, refractory mortar, castable, heat-resistant materials, and refractory lining techniques.
- Ability to measure, cut, shape, align, and install firebricks accurately.
- Ability to understand basic construction drawings, measurements, work instructions, and technical specifications.
- Physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual work in hot, dusty, elevated, and demanding industrial environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a maintenance and construction team.
Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and replace firebricks and refractory materials in kilns, furnaces, chimneys, ducts, and other high-temperature equipment.
- Prepare work areas and surfaces before refractory installation according to project and equipment requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and fit firebricks to achieve proper alignment, spacing, and coverage.
- Apply refractory mortar, castable, cement, and other heat-resistant materials as required.
- Construct and repair refractory linings in cement plant equipment and high-temperature processing areas.
- Inspect existing refractory structures for cracks, erosion, damage, and signs of wear and perform necessary repairs.
- Follow drawings, measurements, technical specifications, and instructions when carrying out refractory construction work.
- Ensure firebrick installations are properly aligned, leveled, secured, and finished according to required standards.
- Assist with demolition and removal of damaged refractory materials during maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Safely handle firebricks, refractory materials, tools, scaffolding, and other construction equipment.
- Work closely with supervisors, masons, mechanical technicians, and other maintenance personnel during construction and repair activities.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and keep work areas clean and free from unnecessary materials and debris.
- Follow workplace safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, confined-space procedures, and other industrial safety requirements.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in hot, dusty, elevated, or confined areas.
- Perform other refractory construction, repair, and maintenance duties assigned by management.
