SIIC Electronics Co. Ltd. is seeking experienced SMT Operators (Electrical Equipment Assembly) to support the production of high-quality electronic components and electrical equipment in Japan. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines, monitoring production processes, performing quality inspections, and ensuring efficient assembly operations while complying with company quality standards and workplace safety regulations. This role requires technical knowledge of SMT equipment, electronics manufacturing, and basic Japanese language proficiency.

SMT Operator (Electrical Equipment Assembly)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines is preferred.
• Holder of a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum vocational graduate in Electronics or Electrical Technology; Engineering graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Able to operate Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment.
• Willing to work overtime and stand for extended periods during production shifts.
• Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT N5) certification with a valid Japanese language certificate.
• Former Technical Intern Training Program (Ex-TITP) participants in Japan are welcome to apply, with valid TITP and Japanese language certificates.
• Basic knowledge of electronics manufacturing and electrical equipment assembly.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines for electronic component assembly.
• Set up SMT equipment according to production schedules and work instructions.
• Load printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic components, reels, and feeders into SMT machines.
• Monitor machine performance during production and make basic adjustments when necessary.
• Inspect assembled circuit boards and electronic products for defects and quality compliance.
• Identify production issues and report machine malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance of SMT equipment.
• Replace component reels and feeders as production requires.
• Read and follow production documents, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Record production output, machine status, and quality inspection results.
• Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
• Follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling procedures when working with sensitive electronic components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Comply with workplace safety, quality assurance, and manufacturing procedures.
• Willingly perform overtime work and other production duties assigned by management.
