SCAFFOLDING SUPERINTENDENT

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in scaffolding or the respective discipline.
• Experience in Oil & Gas construction projects is highly preferred.
• Experience working in GCC countries is highly preferred.
• Must be a holder of CISRS (Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme) certification.
• Strong technical knowledge of scaffolding systems, erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling.
• Knowledge of scaffolding safety standards and safe working practices.
• Proven ability to lead and manage scaffolding teams.
• Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, construction teams, safety personnel, subcontractors, and project management.
• Must be physically fit and capable of working in demanding construction and industrial environments.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all scaffolding activities across assigned project areas.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise scaffolding erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling operations.
• Manage scaffolding foremen, scaffolders, and other personnel involved in scaffolding activities.
• Ensure scaffolding works are properly planned, sequenced, and executed according to project schedules.
• Review scaffolding drawings, specifications, method statements, and work procedures.
• Ensure scaffolding structures are erected, modified, inspected, and dismantled in accordance with approved procedures.
• Monitor the quality and safety of scaffolding installations.
• Ensure scaffolding structures are stable, secure, and suitable for their intended use and load requirements.
• Coordinate scaffolding requirements with construction, engineering, maintenance, and other project teams.
• Plan manpower, equipment, tools, and material requirements for scaffolding operations.
• Monitor availability and proper use of scaffolding materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding activities and work areas.
• Ensure compliance with applicable scaffolding standards, project procedures, and safety regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture among scaffolding personnel.
• Conduct or support toolbox meetings and communicate safety requirements to workers.
• Identify unsafe conditions, technical concerns, and potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor daily progress and productivity of scaffolding operations.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, manpower reports, material requirements, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with safety officers, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and project management.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe storage of scaffolding materials.
• Support project planning and execution to ensure scaffolding requirements are completed on time.
• Perform other duties related to scaffolding management as assigned.
