Sales Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in automotive sales.
- Proven experience in automotive sales with a strong record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a sales environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive products, financing structures, and dealership operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and customer relationship management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in revenue and profit management.
- Knowledge of inventory management, deal structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
- Proficient in team performance management, customer escalation handling, and marketing initiatives.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and manage the vehicle sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and prepare performance reports.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.
- Set individual sales goals and support team development through mentoring and training.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and achieve positive Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) results.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns and disputes professionally and efficiently.
- Promote ethical sales practices and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage vehicle inventory levels, including new and pre-owned vehicles, to maintain an optimal stock mix.
- Coordinate with purchasing and trade-in teams to support inventory requirements.
- Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
- Monitor vehicle aging reports and implement corrective actions to improve inventory turnover.
- Oversee gross profit margins on vehicle sales and approve deals within company guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to maximize sales profitability.
- Manage departmental budgets and control operating expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable motor vehicle laws, regulations, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain accurate sales records and support marketing and lead generation initiatives.
