The National Banking Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant specializing in Fixed Assets and Taxation. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate accounting for fixed assets, maintain compliance with tax laws, and provide insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets & Taxation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• Professional license required (CPA designation preferred).
• Proven experience in fixed assets accounting and taxation.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Experience using ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the company’s fixed asset register, recording acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Conduct periodic fixed asset reconciliations and physical inventory verification.
• Prepare, review, and file tax returns and supporting schedules, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
• Calculate depreciation and monitor capital expenditures.
• Coordinate with auditors and government agencies during audits and tax assessments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to fixed assets and taxation.
• Analyze tax exposures and recommend corrective actions to management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Assist in process improvements and the implementation of internal controls to enhance financial operations.
