FINANCE MANAGER

Qualifications:

Must be a member of a professional Institute of Accountants, recognised by the Certified Practising Accountants of PNG.
Preferably 8 Year(s) hands on experience working with ERP systems and knowledge of PRONTO will be an added advantage
Initiative – typically work independently and should take the initiative and make decisions
Judgment – the ability to think objectively, have strong ethical standards, as well as high levels of integrity to adhere to regulations and compliance are necessary.
Organization skills – need to be incredibly organized and be able to prioritize their workload, as well as be resilient and calm under pressure

Responsibilities:

Review and ensure supplier statement reconciliations are completed up to-date.
Review AP and AR ageing and to follow-up on the settlement of overdue
Liaison and managing the external audits of the company.
Review and ensure clearing accounts, bank reconciliations and inter-co accounts are reconciled and cleared monthly.
Closing of monthly accounts and roll over of ledgers.
Preparation of financial budgets, forecasts and projections of the company.
Preparation of monthly financial reports with financial analysis (actual vs. budget and key performance indicators which may facilitate some
form of benchmarking amount the group of companies) highlighting areas of concern for Management Team.
Initiate process, quality of information and internal control improvements.
Monitor, manage and reconcile tax filings with IRC (income tax, GST, withholding tax, wages tax & etc.).
Monitor and manage IPA filings and matters.
