ROOF RESTORATION SPECIALIST

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in roof restoration, roof repairs, or roofing installation.
  • Skilled in restoring metal roofs, concrete tile roofs, and other roofing systems.
  • Experience with roof cleaning, waterproofing, painting, sealing, and protective coating applications.
  • Knowledge of roofing materials, flashing systems, guttering, and leak repair techniques.
  • Ability to identify roofing defects and recommend appropriate restoration solutions.
  • Comfortable working at heights and using ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection equipment.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A valid driver’s licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect residential and commercial roofs to assess damage, deterioration, leaks, and restoration requirements.
  • Clean roof surfaces using appropriate pressure washing and preparation techniques before restoration.
  • Repair or replace damaged roof tiles, metal sheets, flashings, ridge caps, gutters, and other roofing components.
  • Remove rust, treat corroded areas, and prepare roof surfaces for painting or coating applications.
  • Apply roof primers, sealants, waterproof membranes, protective coatings, and roof paint using approved methods.
  • Repair roof leaks and ensure roofs are fully weatherproof after restoration.
  • Install and replace roof flashings, ridge capping, valleys, and waterproofing materials.
  • Operate ladders, scaffolding, elevated work platforms, and roofing tools safely while working at heights.
  • Measure roofing materials and estimate material requirements for restoration projects.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow workplace health and safety regulations, including fall protection procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and customers regarding project progress.
  • Perform other roofing and restoration duties assigned by management.
