Gulf Asia Contracting Company LLC (GAC) is seeking an experienced Rigging Supervisor to oversee heavy lifting operations and equipment installation activities in oil and gas and petrochemical plant projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing rigging crews, planning lifting operations, conducting hazard assessments, and ensuring all lifting activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

RIGGING SUPERVISOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience as a Rigging Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
• Must have experience working in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical plants.
• No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
• Extensive knowledge of heavy lifting operations, equipment installation, and rigging practices.
• Strong experience in lift planning, hazard assessment, and safety management.
• Ability to supervise and lead rigging teams in complex industrial environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of lifting regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage rigging crews during heavy lifting operations and equipment installation activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute lifting operations in accordance with approved lift plans and project requirements.
• Review lifting procedures, load requirements, and site conditions to ensure safe execution of all lifts.
• Conduct hazard assessments and implement appropriate control measures before lifting activities.
• Select suitable cranes, rigging equipment, and lifting accessories based on load specifications and site conditions.
• Ensure all rigging equipment, tools, and accessories are inspected, certified, and safe for use.
• Monitor lifting operations and provide guidance to rigging teams and crane operators.
• Enforce strict compliance with company safety procedures, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and provide technical guidance to rigging personnel.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other site teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of lifting activities.
• Prepare reports and documentation related to rigging activities, inspections, and safety compliance.
