Gulf Asia Contracting Company LLC (GAC) is seeking an experienced Rigger Level 3 to support lifting and heavy equipment operations in oil and gas and petrochemical plant projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely securing, lifting, and moving heavy machinery, equipment, and structural materials while ensuring compliance with approved lifting procedures and safety standards.
RIGGER LEVEL 3
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience as a Rigger Level 3 or in a similar role.
- Must have experience working in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical plants.
- No minimum educational attainment is required for this position.
- Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, lifting procedures, and safety practices.
- Ability to calculate load weights and select appropriate rigging equipment.
- Experienced in handling heavy lifts and coordinating with crane operators.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding industrial work.
- Strong awareness of workplace safety requirements and lifting standards.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform rigging operations for lifting and moving heavy machinery, equipment, and structural materials at industrial worksites.
- Secure loads using appropriate rigging equipment such as slings, chains, shackles, and pulleys.
- Calculate load weights and determine the correct rigging methods and equipment required for safe lifting operations.
- Inspect rigging tools and lifting accessories before use to ensure they are safe and suitable for operations.
- Direct crane operators and coordinate lifting activities to safely maneuver loads around obstacles and restricted areas.
- Assist in preparing and executing lifting plans according to project requirements and safety procedures.
- Perform hand signals and communication with crane operators during lifting operations.
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations, permit requirements, and company policies.
- Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or potential hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
