QA/QC INSPECTOR ROTARY EQUIPMENT

Qualifications:

• Must be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the respective discipline.
• Experience in QA/QC inspection of rotary or rotating equipment is highly preferred.
• Experience in Oil & Gas construction projects is preferred.
• Previous work experience in GCC countries is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment installation, inspection, alignment, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment drawings, specifications, manuals, and inspection documents.
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards, and quality requirements is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Physically fit and capable of working in construction sites, industrial facilities, and oil and gas environments.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
• Willing to work in site-based construction, shutdown, commissioning, and project environments.
• Male applicants are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform QA/QC inspections of rotating equipment installation, fabrication, maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Inspect rotary equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, gearboxes, and other rotating machinery.
• Review approved engineering drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements, and equipment documentation.
• Verify equipment installation against approved drawings, specifications, manufacturer’s recommendations, and project requirements.
• Inspect equipment foundations, baseplates, soleplates, shims, anchor bolts, and related installation components.
• Verify equipment alignment, leveling, orientation, coupling, shaft alignment, and installation tolerances.
• Inspect mechanical components, piping connections, lubrication systems, seals, bearings, couplings, and other equipment accessories.
• Monitor equipment assembly, erection, installation, and pre-commissioning activities.
• Verify proper installation of equipment and associated mechanical systems before testing and commissioning.
• Witness and document mechanical testing, operational testing, vibration checks, alignment verification, and other required inspection activities.
• Coordinate required non-destructive testing (NDT) and other inspection activities where applicable.
• Identify, document, and report non-conforming work or materials.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), punch lists, and other QA/QC documentation.
• Monitor corrective actions and verify that identified deficiencies are properly resolved.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, equipment documentation, test reports, and quality records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, mechanical engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
• Participate in inspection meetings, pre-inspection activities, equipment turnover, and commissioning support.
• Verify that equipment installation and testing comply with applicable project standards, specifications, safety requirements, and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Assist in preparation and completion of mechanical completion and quality dossiers.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of inspection and testing activities.
• Perform other QA/QC inspection duties as assigned.
