Anjad & Banjer Factory is seeking an experienced Plastics Specialist / Production & Maintenance Engineer to oversee plastics manufacturing, recycling, production optimization, equipment maintenance, and quality-control activities in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will provide technical and operational leadership for injection molding, blow molding, and recycling processes while improving equipment efficiency, reducing production losses and downtime, and maintaining high standards of product quality and workplace safety.
PLASTICS SPECIALIST / PRODUCTION & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer, Plastics, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related course.
- 7–8 years of experience in plastics manufacturing and recycling.
- Male, 25–40 years old.
- Strong knowledge of OEE, scrap reduction, downtime reduction, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and TPM.
- Experience supervising injection molding, blow molding, and plastics recycling operations.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in production process optimization, quality control, and maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills for plastics manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices for industrial production machinery.
- Ability to analyze production data and implement practical measures to improve efficiency and reduce losses.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced plastics manufacturing and recycling environment.
- Safety-conscious, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities involving injection molding, blow molding, and plastics recycling operations.
- Monitor production processes to ensure output meets established quality, productivity, and efficiency targets.
- Analyze and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across production equipment and processes.
- Identify causes of production losses and implement measures to reduce scrap, rejects, downtime, and material waste.
- Develop and implement production process improvements to increase efficiency and equipment utilization.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles in production and maintenance operations.
- Monitor machine performance and identify recurring mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for plastics processing and recycling equipment.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and repair of production machinery to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Inspect mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulic circuits, and pneumatic systems for defects and performance issues.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure timely servicing, repair, and replacement of defective components.
- Optimize machine settings, production parameters, and operating procedures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Monitor injection molding and blow molding processes and ensure machines operate within required specifications.
- Oversee plastics recycling processes, including material handling, processing, and quality control.
- Establish and monitor production standards, process controls, and operating procedures.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of equipment failures, production defects, quality issues, and process deviations.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address recurring production and maintenance problems.
- Coordinate with quality-control personnel to identify defects and maintain required product specifications.
- Monitor raw material usage and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve material efficiency.
- Prepare and review production, maintenance, downtime, scrap, and efficiency reports.
- Monitor spare parts, maintenance materials, tools, and other technical requirements to support continuous production.
- Train and guide production and maintenance personnel on proper machine operation, preventive maintenance, 5S, and safety procedures.
- Ensure production and maintenance activities comply with workplace safety requirements and established company procedures.
- Coordinate with management and other departments to achieve production targets and continuous improvement objectives.
- Perform other engineering, plastics production, maintenance, and process-improvement duties assigned by management.
