CAREGIVER

Qualifications:

• Holds a Caregiving Certificate from a recognized training institution.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in caregiving, elderly care, patient assistance, or a similar role.
• Holds the required professional license or certification specified by the employer and applicable Saudi regulations.
• Knowledgeable in assisting clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Familiar with basic health monitoring, including checking vital signs and observing changes in a client’s condition.
• Knowledge of proper medication reminders and safe assistance with prescribed treatments within the scope of caregiving duties.
• Skilled in preparing nutritious meals according to clients’ dietary requirements and assisting with feeding when necessary.
• Patient, compassionate, trustworthy, and respectful of clients’ privacy and dignity.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of assisting clients with mobility and daily care activities.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
• Female applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide mobility assistance, including helping clients walk, move, transfer, and maintain proper positioning.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with medication routines according to care plans and applicable guidelines.
• Monitor vital signs when trained and assigned, observe changes in clients’ health conditions, and promptly report concerns to the healthcare team.
• Prepare nutritious meals based on clients’ dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Encourage proper hydration and monitor food and fluid intake as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment through light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
• Provide companionship, social interaction, and emotional support to promote clients’ mental and emotional well-being.
• Assist clients in following prescribed care plans, treatment schedules, and daily routines.
• Maintain accurate records of care activities and report relevant observations to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
• Respect clients’ privacy, confidentiality, cultural practices, and personal preferences.
• Follow infection prevention, hygiene, and safety procedures when providing care.
