Techforce Personnel Pty. Ltd. is seeking skilled and experienced Plasterers to work in Australia. The successful candidates will be responsible for plasterboard and drywall installation, setting, joint finishing, and plastering works for walls and ceilings. Candidates with experience in hotels, resorts, and similar commercial construction projects are highly preferred.

PLASTERER

Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of recent, full-time experience in professional plastering and drywall installation.
  • Proven hands-on experience in both plasterboard setting and fixing.
  • Relevant trade qualification in Wall and Ceiling Lining, Solid Plastering, or equivalent.
  • Strong practical knowledge of plasterboard and drywall installation techniques.
  • Skilled in joint setting, corner finishing, fastener-head finishing, sanding, and surface preparation.
  • Experience working on hotels, resorts, or similar commercial construction projects is highly preferred.
  • Current Driver’s License is preferred.
  • Candidates 45 years old and below are preferred.
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, position, and install plasterboard.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishing.
  • Good understanding of construction site safety procedures.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual plastering and drywall installation work.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and fix plasterboard and drywall sheets for walls and ceilings.
  • Measure, mark, cut, and position plasterboard accurately according to project specifications.
  • Perform professional plastering and drywall installation in residential and commercial projects.
  • Fix plasterboard sheets securely using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, and installation methods.
  • Set and finish plasterboard joints to achieve smooth and seamless surfaces.
  • Apply joint compounds and finishing materials to plasterboard joints.
  • Finish internal and external corners to the required quality standards.
  • Fill and finish fastener and screw heads to create smooth surfaces.
  • Sand and prepare completed surfaces for painting and final finishes.
  • Check wall and ceiling surfaces for alignment, level, straightness, and overall quality.
  • Read and follow construction drawings, measurements, plans, and project specifications.
  • Carry out setting and fixing work efficiently while maintaining required finishing standards.
  • Repair imperfections, cracks, uneven joints, and other defects as necessary.
  • Work around electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building services while installing plasterboard.
  • Ensure completed plasterboard and plastering works meet project quality and finishing requirements.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and other plastering tools.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area throughout the project.
  • Properly handle, store, and transport plasterboard, compounds, tools, and other materials.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report material requirements, defects, hazards, and other work-related issues to supervisors.
  • Complete assigned plastering and drywall works within project schedules and required standards.
