Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience in TIG welding.
- Proven hands-on experience in TIG/GTAW welding using Argon gas.
- Ability to produce high-quality welds suitable for X-ray/radiographic testing.
- Strong understanding of TIG welding techniques, metal fabrication, and basic metallurgy.
- TESDA NC II Certificate or Trade Test Certificate in TIG/GTAW Welding.
- Familiarity with welding safety standards and applicable welding codes such as ASME, AWS, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, welding symbols, WPS, project specifications, and technical instructions.
- Competent in operating TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently in workshops and industrial project sites.
- Experience working in industrial environments such as refineries or similar facilities is an advantage.
- Willing and flexible to work in different work environments and project locations.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding welding and fabrication duties.
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strict adherence to company safety protocols and proper use of required PPE.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must have a newly renewed passport.
Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG/GTAW welding using Argon gas to join, fabricate, and repair metal components.
- Set up and operate TIG welding machines and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare metals and components by cleaning, cutting, grinding, fitting, and positioning materials before welding.
- Select and use appropriate welding consumables, filler materials, and welding parameters according to project requirements.
- Produce precise, clean, and high-quality welds in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
- Perform welding work suitable for X-ray/radiographic testing and inspection.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, WPS, project specifications, and technical instructions.
- Follow approved welding procedures, dimensions, tolerances, and required welding sequences.
- Weld different metal components and materials according to applicable project requirements.
- Inspect welds visually for cracks, porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and other welding defects.
- Make necessary adjustments to welding settings and techniques to maintain consistent weld quality.
- Perform repair welding and correction of defective or damaged metal components when required.
- Operate welding tools, grinders, cutting equipment, and other workshop equipment safely.
- Work on fabrication and welding projects in workshops and industrial facilities, including refinery or similar industrial sites.
- Maintain proper gas flow, torch control, arc length, and heat input during TIG welding.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of welding machines, cylinders, tools, and materials.
- Follow applicable welding codes and standards, including ASME, AWS, or equivalent standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding workstation.
- Follow company, project, and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, protective clothing, and safety footwear.
- Identify and report welding defects, equipment problems, material issues, and safety hazards to supervisors.
- Coordinate with welders, fabricators, fitters, supervisors, inspectors, and other project personnel.
- Complete assigned welding and fabrication tasks within required schedules and quality standards.
Salary Package:
- Salary starts at €1,200.00 net monthly.
- Forty-Eight (48) Work Hours per week/ Six (6) Working Days.
- Accommodation will be provided.
- One (1) year contract, renewable.
