Aureol Global Connections is seeking highly skilled Pipe Welders (TIG/SMAW Combination) to work on mechanical services and industrial piping projects in the United Kingdom. The successful candidates will be responsible for welding carbon steel pipework used in heating, chilled water, condenser water, compressed air, and process systems. All welding activities must be performed in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and quality.
PIPE WELDER (TIG/SMAW Combination)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience welding carbon steel pipework in mechanical services, industrial, or construction environments.
- Extensive experience using TIG (root pass) and SMAW/MMA (Stick) fill and cap welding processes or equivalent approved methods.
- Strong ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and piping layouts.
- Thorough understanding of pipe fabrication, fit-up, joint preparation, and welding techniques.
- Proven ability to consistently produce high-quality welds that meet project specifications.
- Good knowledge of welding safety procedures, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
- Good spoken and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
- Physically fit and capable of working in construction and industrial environments.
- Willing to relocate and work in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality TIG root and SMAW (MMA/Stick) fill and cap welding on carbon steel pipework.
- Weld pipework in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and project specifications.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, piping layouts, and welding symbols.
- Prepare pipes for welding by measuring, cutting, beveling, grinding, cleaning, and fitting joints accurately.
- Ensure proper pipe alignment, joint preparation, and fit-up before welding operations.
- Produce welds that meet visual inspection requirements and applicable quality standards.
- Carry out weld repairs, modifications, and rework when required.
- Work closely with Pipe Fitters, Supervisors, Inspectors, and Project Teams to complete installations efficiently.
- Inspect completed welds and ensure compliance with project requirements and welding quality standards.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumables in safe working condition.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other welding-related duties assigned by supervisors.
