Watad Supplies & Services is seeking skilled Technicians to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and X-ray security screening equipment in Qatar. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of airport or industrial material handling and security systems through preventive and corrective maintenance while complying with safety and operational standards.

TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Diploma or relevant Vocational Certificate in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) or X-ray machine maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience in diagnosing faults and performing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment.
• Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment, conveyor systems, or airport security equipment is an advantage.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work rotating shifts or respond to emergency maintenance when required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on baggage handling systems (BHS), X-ray machines, and associated electrical and electronic equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools.
• Install, maintain, repair, and calibrate baggage conveyor systems, motors, sensors, control panels, scanners, and X-ray screening equipment.
• Inspect system components regularly to identify wear, defects, or potential failures.
  Replace faulty electrical, electronic, and mechanical components to restore equipment performance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
• Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality and compliance with operational requirements.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize system downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records, service reports, inspection logs, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and workplace safety regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient completion of assigned tasks.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Perform other technical and maintenance duties assigned by management.
