Microbiology Laboratory Data Entry

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience, with at least 1 year in a microbiology laboratory.
• Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Laboratory Techniques preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Media and sample preparation
  • Manual culture techniques
  • ELISA, ELFA, VIDAS, VITEK systems
  • Biochemical analysis, stains, and weighing equipment
• Skilled in operating lab equipment and machinery.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of microbiological techniques, methods, and laboratory testing procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Operations & Data Management:
  • Maintain logs and records of laboratory instruments, reagents, and test results.
  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain lab tools and equipment.
  • Follow scientific procedures and adhere strictly to safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Conduct microbiological testing on raw materials, finished products, environmental samples, and personnel swabs.
  • Assist microbiologists in daily lab operations and plant-level analyses.
  • Perform manual and automated operations in compliance with ISO 17025 and BAM-FDA methods.
• Testing & Quality Control:
  • Develop and execute testing procedures for raw materials, finished goods, air quality, and equipment swabs.
  • Conduct ISO 17025 audits on lab processes and GFSI programs.
  • Organize storage space, label items properly, and maintain lab inventory.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all tests and laboratory activities.
  • Conduct microbiological analysis on incoming ingredients, vegetables, cakes, biscuits, proteins, and other materials.
• Compliance & Environmental Practices:
  • Maintain environmental compliance with waste disposal, material segregation, and resource conservation.
  • Maintain accurate and updated laboratory records for audit and reporting purposes.
