Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) is seeking a qualified Tyre Maintenance Technician to perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement of tires used on port equipment and heavy vehicles, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient terminal operations in accordance with company maintenance standards and operational requirements.
Tyre Maintenance Technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferably with experience in port, terminal, heavy equipment, or industrial operations.
- Technical or vocational training related to automotive, mechanical, or heavy equipment maintenance is an advantage.
- Knowledge of tire inspection, repair, replacement, balancing, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with tires used on heavy equipment, trailers, trucks, forklifts, reach stackers, and container handling equipment.
- Ability to identify tire wear patterns, damage, and performance issues.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement of tires on terminal equipment and vehicles.
- Monitor tire condition, pressure, tread wear, and overall performance to ensure operational safety.
- Identify tire defects, damage, and abnormal wear patterns and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct tire mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotation as required.
- Maintain records of tire inspections, repairs, replacements, and inventory usage.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of tires and related maintenance equipment.
- Support preventive maintenance programs to maximize tire lifespan and equipment availability.
- Assist in emergency tire repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow workplace safety regulations and company maintenance procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to support uninterrupted terminal activities.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and comply with quality assurance requirements.

To serve a broader range of customers and cargo types, RSGT offers Multi-Purpose Terminals (MPT) services through a dedicated business unit that manages non-containerized cargo across four strategic locations on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. The portfolio spans Jeddah Islamic Port (integrating general cargo and Ro-Ro into a single multi-purpose facility), King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu, Yanbu Commercial Port, and Port of Jazan, adding roughly 13.4 km of quay and 3.3 million m² of operational area.
