BLACKSMITH (Aluminum Production Supervisor)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required, with 3–5 years of experience in aluminum and glazing production preferred.
• Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Male applicants are preferred, as specified by the employer.
• Strong knowledge of aluminum systems, including doors, windows, curtain walls, and glazing systems.
• Good understanding of aluminum fabrication processes, including cutting, machining, assembly, and glazing.
• Familiarity with fabrication machinery, CNC equipment, hand tools, and other aluminum production equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication drawings, technical specifications, and production details.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, quality control, and material management.
• Experience monitoring material usage, reducing production waste, and improving manufacturing efficiency.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Ability to supervise factory labor and subcontractors effectively.
• Good knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures and factory safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, productivity, and meeting project deadlines.
• Able to work effectively with design, technical, procurement, production, project, and site teams.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities for aluminum doors, windows, curtain walls, and glazing systems.
• Ensure production schedules are aligned with project deadlines, approved drawings, and site requirements.
• Supervise fabrication processes including cutting, machining, assembly, fabrication, and glazing works.
• Coordinate with design and technical departments regarding shop drawings, production details, specifications, and fabrication requirements.
• Review production requirements and ensure materials and components are prepared according to approved specifications.
• Monitor material usage, minimize waste, and implement measures to improve production efficiency and cost control.
• Ensure fabricated aluminum products meet required quality standards, dimensions, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct inspections throughout the production process and identify defects, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
• Implement and monitor health and safety procedures within the factory and ensure workers follow established safety requirements.
• Troubleshoot production problems, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of aluminum profiles, glass, hardware, accessories, and other raw materials.
• Monitor production progress and ensure completed products are ready for delivery according to project schedules.
• Prepare production reports and provide regular updates to management regarding production status, manpower, material requirements, and potential delays.
• Manage and supervise factory workers, technicians, production personnel, and subcontractors.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance to maintain efficient production operations.
• Coordinate with project and site teams regarding production priorities, delivery schedules, and installation requirements.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and safe use of fabrication machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain organized production areas, proper material storage, and good housekeeping throughout the factory.
• Perform other production supervision, aluminum fabrication, and management duties assigned by management.
