HOTEL PLUMBER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
• At least High School Graduate.
• Previous experience as a Hotel Plumber, Plumber, Maintenance Plumber, or similar position is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water supply, drainage, sewage, piping systems, plumbing fixtures, pumps, and water heaters.
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing leaks, clogged drains, faulty valves, toilets, faucets, showers, sinks, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for hotel plumbing systems and equipment.
• Ability to use plumbing hand tools, power tools, pipe-cutting tools, testing equipment, and other maintenance tools.
• Good understanding of basic plumbing safety procedures and proper handling of tools and equipment.
• Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to plumbing emergencies and maintenance requests.
• Able to communicate in basic English with supervisors, coworkers, and other hotel personnel.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting materials, working in confined spaces, bending, kneeling, and performing maintenance tasks for extended periods.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently and as part of a hotel maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment throughout the hotel.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on water supply systems, drainage systems, sewage systems, pumps, water heaters, and piping networks.
• Inspect pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, drains, pumps, water heaters, and other plumbing components for leaks, damage, blockages, or malfunctions.
• Repair water leaks, clogged drains, faulty valves, toilets, faucets, showers, sinks, and other plumbing fixtures promptly and efficiently.
• Diagnose plumbing problems and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
• Install, repair, replace, and maintain pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and other plumbing components.
• Maintain and repair hot and cold water supply systems throughout guest rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry areas, and other hotel facilities.
• Inspect and maintain drainage and sewage systems to ensure proper flow and operation.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of water pumps, water heaters, tanks, and related equipment.
• Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, maintenance requests, and reported faults from hotel staff or guests.
• Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems before they result in service interruptions or property damage.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, engineering, maintenance, front office, and other hotel departments regarding plumbing repairs and service requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance activities, materials used, and equipment condition.
• Use appropriate plumbing tools, testing equipment, power tools, and safety equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain plumbing tools, equipment, work areas, and maintenance rooms in clean and organized condition.
• Follow hotel maintenance procedures, workplace safety requirements, hygiene standards, and applicable plumbing practices.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing plumbing and maintenance work.
• Minimize disruption to hotel guests and operations while carrying out repairs and maintenance activities.
• Perform other plumbing, maintenance, and hotel engineering duties assigned by management.
