Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) is seeking a qualified Welding Maintenance Technician to perform welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance work on terminal equipment, structures, and facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient port operations in accordance with company standards and operational requirements.

Welding Maintenance Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferably with experience in port, terminal, heavy equipment, shipyard, or industrial operations.
• Technical or vocational certification in Welding Technology, Fabrication, or a related field.
• Proficient in various welding processes, including SMAW, GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and oxy-fuel cutting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication, structural repairs, and welding safety standards.
• Familiarity with welding equipment maintenance and inspection procedures.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on port equipment, machinery, and facility structures.
• Inspect damaged components and determine appropriate welding and repair methods.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities involving welded structures and metal components.
• Operate welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Fabricate replacement parts and structural components as required.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Maintain welding tools, equipment, and consumables in good working condition.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, welding procedures, and company maintenance standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report repair activities to supervisors.
• Follow company policies, housekeeping requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
