Aureol Global Connections is seeking a technically skilled Maintenance Fitter to support the continuous operation, maintenance, and reliability of machinery and infrastructure in a manufacturing facility in Ireland. The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment rebuilds, troubleshooting, and improvement activities to minimize downtime and maintain safe and efficient production operations.

MAINTENANCE FITTER

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in maintenance, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience in maintaining manufacturing machinery and equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and equipment servicing.
• Experience with Maximo Asset Management System or an equivalent asset management system is an advantage; training may be provided.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license required/preferred.
• Valid passport required.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on maintenance work.
• Responsible, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining high equipment standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, rebuilding, and servicing of manufacturing machinery and facility infrastructure.
• Maintain and inspect equipment and machinery throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks and identify components requiring repair or replacement.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests to minimize production downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Replace worn, damaged, or defective machine components.
• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance according to established schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance reports and records of all repair and servicing activities.
• Perform repair and maintenance work on-site within the manufacturing facility.
• Assist in improving and modifying existing machinery to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to reduce breakdowns and maintenance costs.
• Support the development of strategies to improve the reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
• Monitor stock levels and arrange orders for tools and replacement parts when required.
• Use the Maximo Asset Management System or equivalent system to record maintenance activities and equipment information.
• Work closely with engineers, production personnel, and other maintenance professionals.
• Follow company safety procedures, maintenance standards, and workplace requirements.
• Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties as assigned.
