Jarir Bookstore is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finishing Carpenter to perform furniture carpentry and finishing work in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality final finishes on wooden furniture, carrying out detailed carpentry work, and ensuring completed pieces meet required quality standards.

Finishing Carpenter

Qualifications:

• Age 30 to 40 years old.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in furniture carpentry.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Carpentry.
• Strong experience in carpentry final-touch and finishing work.
• Good knowledge of furniture construction, assembly, repair, and finishing techniques.
• Able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and finish wooden components accurately.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to communicate in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Valid driving license is preferred.
• Physically fit and capable of performing carpentry work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking, and responsible.

Responsibilities:

• Perform finishing carpentry work on furniture and wooden products.
• Complete final-touch carpentry activities to achieve a clean and professional finish.
• Inspect furniture pieces for imperfections, gaps, uneven surfaces, and other defects.
• Perform adjustments, repairs, trimming, sanding, and other finishing work as required.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit wooden components accurately.
• Assemble furniture components according to drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely.
• Ensure joints, edges, corners, and surfaces are properly aligned and finished.
• Conduct quality checks on completed furniture before final approval.
• Repair or modify furniture when defects or finishing issues are identified.
• Maintain carpentry tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep the workshop and work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow company quality, safety, and workplace procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other carpenters to complete projects efficiently.
• Perform other carpentry and furniture finishing duties as assigned.
