PLUMBER

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Personal Services & Building/Ground Services or similar fields.
• Diploma in Plumbing or an equivalent technical qualification is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in building and facilities maintenance.
• Proven experience in plumbing and building maintenance.
• Knowledge of building plumbing systems, water supply, drainage, fixtures, pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and repair common plumbing problems.
• Familiarity with plumbing tools, equipment, materials, and safe work practices.
• Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building plumbing systems.
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on plumbing and maintenance work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Able to follow technical instructions, workplace procedures, and safety regulations.
• Responsible, reliable, hardworking, and capable of working independently or as part of a maintenance team.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair plumbing systems in buildings and facilities.
• Perform routine plumbing maintenance to ensure reliable operation of water supply and drainage systems.
• Install and repair water pipes, drainage pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and related plumbing components.
• Inspect plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, corrosion, damage, and other problems.
• Diagnose plumbing faults and determine the appropriate repair or maintenance requirements.
• Repair leaking pipes, faucets, toilets, sinks, drains, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Clear blocked drains and pipelines using appropriate plumbing tools and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems and building facilities.
• Replace damaged, defective, or worn plumbing components as required.
• Measure, cut, thread, join, and install pipes according to specifications.
• Ensure proper alignment, connections, sealing, and testing of installed plumbing systems.
• Conduct pressure and operational checks after installation or repair work.
• Assist with plumbing works related to building renovation, improvement, and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel, technicians, supervisors, and other trades when performing building maintenance work.
• Respond to plumbing breakdowns, leaks, and urgent maintenance requirements in a timely manner.
• Maintain plumbing tools, equipment, materials, and work areas in good condition.
• Follow technical instructions, maintenance schedules, and established work procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repair activities when required.
• Follow proper workplace safety procedures when working with plumbing systems, tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Report major plumbing defects, recurring problems, or additional repair requirements to supervisors.
• Perform other plumbing and building maintenance duties assigned by management.
