Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) is seeking a qualified Equipment Maintenance Electrical Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of terminal and port equipment in accordance with company standards and operational requirements.
Equipment Maintenance Electrical Technician
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferably with experience in port, terminal, or industrial operations.
- Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards and maintenance procedures.
- Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
- Inspect, repair, and replace defective electrical components and wiring.
- Conduct routine testing and maintenance of motors, control panels, sensors, and related equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend maintenance improvements when necessary.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and electrical safety standards.
- Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and modification projects.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel and operations teams to support terminal activities.
- Follow company policies, housekeeping requirements, and quality assurance procedures.

RSGT operates the country’s largest and most advanced container terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, accounting for approximately 39% of Saudi Arabia’s container throughput in 2024 and offering 6.2 million TEU of annual capacity.
To serve a broader range of customers and cargo types, RSGT offers Multi-Purpose Terminals (MPT) services through a dedicated business unit that manages non-containerized cargo across four strategic locations on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast. The portfolio spans Jeddah Islamic Port (integrating general cargo and Ro-Ro into a single multi-purpose facility), King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu, Yanbu Commercial Port, and Port of Jazan, adding roughly 13.4 km of quay and 3.3 million m² of operational area. Across these sites, RSGT handles general cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk, Ro-Ro, project/heavy-lift cargo, and livestock. A planned SAR 1.6 billion upgrade program will modernize infrastructure, equipment, and digital systems and introduce energy-efficient technologies.
