Aureol Global Connections is seeking skilled Carpenters / Wood Floor Sanding Specialists to join professional flooring projects in Ireland. The successful candidates will be responsible for sanding, refinishing, restoring, and repairing a wide variety of timber flooring systems while delivering exceptional craftsmanship and outstanding customer service in residential and commercial properties.

Carpenter/Wood Floor Sanding Specialist

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in wood floor sanding, refinishing, and restoration.
• Proven experience working with solid wood, engineered wood, parquet, and herringbone flooring systems.
• Skilled in repairing, preparing, sanding, staining, sealing, and finishing timber floors.
• Experience using professional sanding equipment, edging machines, polishing equipment, and finishing systems.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship.
• Good knowledge of wood species, flooring materials, finishing products, and restoration techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A full, clean driving license is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Sand, refinish, and restore solid wood, engineered wood, parquet, and herringbone flooring to a high professional standard.
• Inspect flooring to identify damage, wear, moisture issues, and repair requirements before commencing work.
• Repair damaged timber flooring by replacing boards, filling gaps, securing loose sections, and preparing surfaces for refinishing.
• Prepare floors by removing old finishes, adhesives, nails, staples, and surface imperfections.
• Operate professional floor sanding equipment, edging machines, buffing machines, and dust extraction systems safely and efficiently.
• Apply stains, oils, lacquers, sealers, varnishes, and other protective finishes according to manufacturer specifications.
• Match wood colors and finishes to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout every project.
• Protect surrounding furniture, fixtures, and work areas during sanding and finishing operations.
• Inspect completed work to ensure exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding project progress, maintenance recommendations, and aftercare instructions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety regulations and safe working practices at all times.
• Perform other carpentry and flooring duties assigned by management.
