Job Vacancy: TRUCK DRIVER (General Freight Transport by Truck)

Job Location: Japan

Seiwa Logistics Co., Ltd. is seeking qualified Truck Drivers to transport general freight safely and efficiently. The successful candidates will operate commercial trucks, ensure timely deliveries, maintain vehicle safety, and comply with transportation regulations while providing reliable logistics services.

TRUCK DRIVER (General Freight Transport by Truck)

Qualifications:

  • Passed the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Automobile Transportation Business Skills Test (Truck).
  • JLPT Basic Japanese or JLPT N4 proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for commercial truck operation.
  • Former TITP (Technical Intern Training Program) participant preferred/required.
  • Experience in truck driving or freight transportation is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of road safety regulations and cargo handling procedures.
  • Physically fit and able to load and unload freight when required.
  • Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial trucks to transport general freight safely and efficiently to designated destinations.
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload cargo in accordance with company safety procedures.
  • Plan delivery routes and ensure goods are delivered on schedule.
  • Complete delivery logs, trip records, vehicle inspection reports, and other transport documentation accurately.
  • Follow traffic laws, company policies, and cargo handling regulations at all times.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding deliveries and schedules.
  • Monitor cargo during transport to prevent damage or loss.
  • Observe health, safety, and defensive driving practices while operating commercial vehicles.
  • Perform minor vehicle checks and report maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Carry out other transportation and logistics duties assigned by management.
