Aureol Global Connections is seeking experienced Metal Fabricators (GMAW / GTAW) to support industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and data centre construction projects in Ireland. The successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and fitting metal components using industry-standard fabrication techniques while ensuring precision, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications.
Metal Fabricator (GMAW/GTAW)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant metal fabrication experience in industrial construction, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or data centre environments.
- Proven experience working with stainless steel, aluminium, and carbon steel.
- Proficient in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) fabrication and welding techniques.
- Skilled in measuring, cutting, bending, assembling, and fitting fabricated components.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience operating a wide range of fabrication machinery, workshop equipment, and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Semiconductor, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or large-scale industrial project experience is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to work.
- Good understanding of construction health and safety requirements.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install metal components using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding processes.
- Measure, mark, cut, bend, shape, and fit stainless steel, aluminium, and carbon steel materials according to engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, beveling, cleaning, and ensuring accurate component fit-up.
- Manufacture structural supports, brackets, frames, pipe supports, enclosures, and custom-fabricated components.
- Inspect fabricated components to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with project quality requirements.
- Operate fabrication machinery and workshop equipment, including saws, grinders, press brakes, drills, rollers, and cutting equipment.
- Perform basic welding, tack welding, finishing, grinding, polishing, and surface preparation where required.
- Assist with installation and modification of fabricated components at project sites when necessary.
- Maintain fabrication tools, workshop equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and safe workshop practices.
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, welders, and multidisciplinary project teams to meet production schedules.
- Complete fabrication records and report production or quality issues to supervisors.
- Perform other fabrication duties assigned by management.
