MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (CERAMICS)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• 4–7 years of experience in the ceramic tiles manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Proven hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance of ceramic tile manufacturing machinery.
• Experience with BPS machinery, hydraulic presses, glaze lines, kilns, sorting and packing machines, and air compressors.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, machine servicing, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to identify machine abnormalities and take appropriate corrective or preventive action.
• Willing and able to work on shifts.
• Knowledge of industrial utilities such as natural gas, water, compressed air, and electrical power is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills.
• Must possess a valid passport.
• Physically fit and able to work in a ceramic manufacturing and industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery used in ceramic tile manufacturing, including BPS machinery, hydraulic presses, glaze lines, kilns, sorting and packing equipment, and air compressors.
• Conduct regular machine inspections, cleaning, and dedusting to maintain equipment in proper operating condition.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance based on approved maintenance schedules, checklists, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems and breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Carry out machine modifications and improvements based on production requirements and to enhance equipment efficiency and productivity.
• Service, repair, replace, and maintain machine spare parts and components according to equipment condition and maintenance schedules.
• Monitor machinery performance and promptly report abnormalities or potential equipment failures to the department foreman or supervisor.
• Maintain daily records of machine conditions, maintenance activities, breakdowns, and identified abnormalities.
• Plan and execute corrective actions to prevent major equipment failures and prolonged production interruptions.
• Monitor and control plant utilities, including natural gas, water, compressed air, and electrical power, to support efficient production operations.
• Perform maintenance projects, equipment modifications, and other technical assignments as directed by management.
• Work on a rotating or assigned shift schedule as required by production operations.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the factory, equipment, and surrounding work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly.
• Comply with company safety policies, maintenance procedures, and operational standards.
