Job Vacancy: Mechanical Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Foreman to join Zamil Shipyards in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will supervise mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair works in shipbuilding and ship repair operations, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to technical standards.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical works, including supervisory or foreman role in shipyard, offshore, or heavy industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of marine and industrial mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical specifications
- Experience in supervising teams of mechanics, fitters, and technicians
- Knowledge of pumps, engines, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding shipyard conditions
- Willing to work in shifting schedules and handle tight project deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair activities
- Assign tasks and monitor performance of mechanical teams
- Ensure proper installation and functioning of mechanical systems and equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and ensure compliance with specifications
- Inspect ongoing and completed mechanical works for quality and safety compliance
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to workers
- Coordinate with engineers and other trades for project execution
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- Report progress, manpower status, and issues to management
Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
