Konoike Transport Co., Ltd. is seeking a qualified Japanese Interpreter to provide accurate verbal interpretation and written translation services, facilitating effective communication between Japanese and English-speaking personnel while ensuring cultural understanding and operational efficiency.
Japanese Interpreter
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a Japanese Interpreter, Translator, or in a related language support role.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N3 level or higher is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Ability to accurately interpret conversations, meetings, and technical discussions.
- Experience translating business, operational, technical, and administrative documents.
- Knowledge of Japanese workplace culture and business communication practices.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time verbal interpretation between English and Japanese during meetings, conferences, factory visits, training sessions, and client communications.
- Translate documents such as operational procedures, corporate memos, project specifications, reports, manuals, and administrative forms.
- Ensure that the meaning, tone, context, and intent of messages are accurately conveyed between languages.
- Assist management and employees in overcoming language and cultural barriers.
- Facilitate communication between local and foreign staff to support smooth daily operations.
- Review translated documents for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
- Support company activities involving Japanese-speaking clients, partners, suppliers, and employees.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information and communications.
- Assist with administrative and coordination tasks related to language support when required.
- Resolve misunderstandings arising from language or cultural differences in a professional manner.
