SRACO International Contracting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support Oil & Gas engineering construction and industrial projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of heavy mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, piping systems, and rotating machinery. The role requires extensive experience in industrial plants, refineries, or energy facilities while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and health and safety regulations.

Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred.
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, as specified by the employer.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in Oil & Gas engineering construction, industrial plants, refineries, or energy facilities.
• Proven experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and engineering of pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, piping systems, and other heavy mechanical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment, piping systems, and mechanical maintenance practices.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with international engineering codes, maintenance standards, and industrial safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize mechanical equipment and systems used in industrial plants and Oil & Gas facilities.
• Select, size, and specify mechanical equipment such as pressure vessels, pipelines, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and related systems.
• Review mechanical engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and technical specifications.
• Conduct equipment inspections, condition assessments, and root cause failure analyses.
• Develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for rotating and static equipment.
• Monitor installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, instrumentation, process, and construction teams during project execution.
• Investigate equipment failures and recommend engineering improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, maintenance documentation, and project records.
• Ensure compliance with international engineering standards, client specifications, and HSE requirements.
• Support quality assurance, equipment acceptance testing, and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel, contractors, and project teams.
• Perform other mechanical engineering duties assigned by project management.
